TIN CADDY
This fusion of beauty and functionality is made possible by the skilled craftsmen—now a rare few in Japan—who can still create traditional tea caddies by hand.
Every step of the process, up until the final coating, is painstakingly finished by hand.
From cutting the material in 0.1mm increments to bending, soldering, and wiping, each TIN CADDY is created through techniques backed by years of experience.
Two sizes are available: the S size, which has a charming presence with its identical diameter and height, and the M size, which offers a modern feel by being slightly more compact than a conventional tea caddy.
The tinplate is the same material used for food cans, making it ideal for long-term storage. Its double-layered structure—consisting of an outer and inner lid—achieves a level of precision and airtightness that can only be realized through the meticulous work of a craftsman. By also blocking out light, it prevents degradation and keeps contents fresh for longer, making it perfect for storing tea leaves, coffee beans, granola, nuts, or even sweets and snacks.
Beyond food, it can be used to store a wide range of items, from daily essentials like cotton pads to your valued accessories—helping you protect and organize the various items in your daily life.
Note: Due to the high level of airtightness, lifting the lid vertically may cause the inner lid to come off. This is a result of the precise fit and is not a defect. To open or close, please rotate the lid slightly and lift it at an angle rather than pulling straight up.
